Happy (late) St George's Day!

Good morning Hedgehogs,

I hope you and your families are enjoying the warm spring weather. Every morning when I wake up the birds sing to me. I like it.

A few of you have told me you have been planting seeds and doing other gardening - hooray! Last year I planted lavender, because it's good for bees, and it is turning very purple.

Well done for all of the Fairy Tale Fixer work you have been doing! I've been very impressed with your hard work and creative ideas.

Grown-ups, please send me the rest of your children's Fairy Tale Fixer work for Mr McGregor by Sunday. I will displaying it on Monday and would like to have as much as it in as possible thank you.

Love from Miss Nash

P.S. Here is a message from Mr Bachelor, just for you!

Happy Wednesday, Hedgehogs.

Hello Hedgehogs,

I hope you had a good Monday and Tuesday. I have really enjoyed seeing all of your Fairy Tale Fixer work. If you are stuck with any of it, please email me and I will help.

It has been very sunny in Brackley. I have been going for walks and the lambs in the fields are very funny! They keep trying to follow me. I have not brought one home yet though.

Here are some fun ideas for learning, just for you!

This idea comes from Mr Small  :o)

I hope you enjoy them.

Keep sending your Fairy Tale Fixers work to me, and anything else you get up to. I will be putting more of your work up on Monday for you to see!

Today, I will leave you with a joke:

What animal is always at a cricket match?

... a bat!

It's the summer term!

Greetings Hedgehog Class,

I hope you have had a lovely two weeks and a good Easter weekend. I have been mainly:
  • talking to Komet the pony
  • going for walks
  • watching films
  • doing jigsaws and
  • reading books
What have you been up to?

I hope you have enjoyed the Fairy Tale Fixers' work. Here are the final few chapters of Mr McGregor's problem.

Please keep emailing me your work so that we can keep up with the story together. Remember: each one of the jobs you do will earn you a marble for your jar.

I will put some of your work up later this week - parents, please email me anything you have done over Easter by Tuesday.

I am looking forward to hearing from you Hedgehogs!

PS parents: you should have received information about a phonics app called Graphogame and also maths from Maths No Problem. Both of these will help to keep your child's basic skills up over the next few weeks.

Also, PS I have been forwarding your Easter Garden entries to Mrs Davies. Please let me have any entries by Tuesday!

That Pesky Rabbit: the story continues

Good morning Hedgehogs, or should I say... Fairy Tale Fixers.

You've been very busy doing Fairy Tale Fixer-type things. Excellent work, well done. I've put your work up on another page - click here if you haven't seen it yet.

If you've finished the first chapter of That Pesky Rabbit, the next three (short) chapters are here for you! Work through them at your own pace, but try to have them finished by Sunday 19th April so that we can continue the story together.

Happy Holidays!

Hello happy, happy, happy Hedgehogs.
(to sing that song to your family, click here.)

Well, it's the Easter holidays. Normally by now we would have all gone on a trip to see the lambs, so here are some lambs for you.

On Monday I will post the next chapter of our Mr McGregor story, as well as sharing what you have been up to (like I did last Monday - click here if you haven't seen it). There will be three activities in the story, but then no other activities for the Easter holidays. That way, you can relax, enjoy the sun (hopefully), get outdoors a bit (hopefully) and catch up with any activities you have missed.

Here are some other creative activities you might like to try over the next two weeks.

Have a good two weeks, Hedgehogs, and keep in touch!

Greetings, Hedgehogs One and All.

It's another Wednesday!

I hope all of you Hedgehogs and parents are well. I have been going for walks in the countryside around Brackley. I was quite surprised when I got to Tureweston Aerodrome and saw this! I think it is the smallest real plane I've ever seen.

How are you getting on with Mr McGregor and his problem? I'll be sharing all of your responses to Mr McGregor's tasks on Monday.

Following the shadow activity last week, we have a fun challenge for you at home:

(answers in the next blog)
Today's blog post just has some ideas for learning at home, covering different areas of learning. I hope you enjoy them, and keep sending me what you get up to!

Parents, grandparents and carers:  we'd really like your feedback on what we are sending home for you and your children. What have you particularly enjoyed? Is there anything that hasn't worked, or hasn't made sense? Is there anything you'd like to see more of, or any extra help you'd like? Please let us know when you next email us thank you!

Goodbye!

Dear Hedgehog Parents, It feels very strange finally to be saying goodbye to you all. Whaddon has been my second home for the past ten years...
